Wildlife park confirms the return of festive light trail

A spectacular winter light trail has announced it will return this Christmas.
Port Lympne Illuminated, which made its debut at Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve in Hythe last year, will once again transform the wildlife park into a glittering grotto of colourful installations and twinkling lights.
The trail will light up Kent’s biggest animal park from November, with ticket details set to be announced soon.
Those who are interested in visiting the trail can sign up here for announcements and early bird tickets.
The after-dark trail opened to the public for the first time last year and attracted thousands of visitors.
The 2026 nighttime attraction will feature new creative zones, interactive surprises and stunning art installations that ‘celebrate both the beauty of nature and the wonder of light’.

Organisers have also confirmed that this year the trail will be included in an annual pass to Port Lympne, which is home to more than 900 rare and endangered animals, and its sister park, Howletts Wild Animal Park in Bekesbourne.
The pass offers unlimited visits to both parks for a whole year, along with exclusive benefits and discounts.
The annual pass costs £90 for adults and £72 for children. You can find out more here.
There are also couples and family passes available to purchase.
