As part of the Survivor 50 Challenge, fans lined up at the American Sign Museum to take photos with a hidden immunity idol.
The road to Survivor 50 continues.
Survivor fans have been catching up on some of the classic episodes this week on CBS as the landmark season 50 draws closer.
The episodes are featuring season 50 contestants from their past seasons. And we’re getting a third straight night of Benjamin “Coach” Wade, also known as the Dragon Slayer.
The Feb. 12 episode is the season 23rd finale of “Survivor: South Pacific,” that sees Sophie Clarke beat out Coach to win the title of Sole Survivor. The story of Ozzy Lusth, who will be making his fifth appearance on season 50, is also featured in the episode.
In addition to being on your screens, Wade, the eccentric character known as “Coach,” will be in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for his first-ever watch party next month with host and three-time “Survivor” contestant Andrea Boehlke.
There will be five more memorable episodes from the franchise’s history next week in advance of season 50 on Feb. 25. Meanwhile, the nationwide idol hunt involving “Survivor” fans will conclude across the country, including in Wisconsin.
Here’s what to know about the premiere of season 50, the cast and the Road to 50 episodes:
Why is Survivor on tonight?
CBS is airing 10 classic episodes over a two-week period leading up to the premiere of “Survivor” season 50. They began on Feb. 9 and end on Feb. 20.
The episodes feature cast members from season 50.
Did Ozzy ever win Survivor?
Ozzy has competed on Survivor four times but has yet to win the title of Sole Survivor.
He is one of the game’s ultimate challenge threats and has played 128 days of “Survivor,” the third-most in the show’s history. But he enters Season 50 looking to earn the Sole Survivor title for the first time. Ozzy has been at the final tribal council or on the jury every time he’s played.
Here’s Ozzy’s “Survivor” résumé that began in 2006 with Cook Islands when he finished as the runner-up.
- Cook Islands (Season 13): Runner-up, 39 days
- Micronesia (Season 16): Ninth place, 27 days
- South Pacific (Season 23): Fourth place, 38 days
- Game Changers (Season 34): 12th place, 24 days
Who won Survivor South Pacific? Who won Survivor 23?
Sophie Clarke, 21, won Survivor South Pacific and the $1 million prize that went with it in a 6-3-0 vote over Coach and Albert Destrade at the final tribal council. It was Coach’s third time playing the game and his best finish.
Survivor South Pacific was the second straight season that “Survivor” implemented the Redemption Island twist where people voted out at tribal councils would have a chance at returning to the game if they won duels.
Clarke later returned for the “Winners at War” 40th season that aired in 2020. That season featured 20 of the game’s previous winners.
Here’s a moment between Coach and Ozzy during the South Pacific season finale that will air on Feb. 12:

Survivor has unleashed a nationwide idol hunt since late January. And it’s almost Wisconsin’s turn.
In one week, an idol will be hidden in a location in the Badger State. Anyone who finds it will be entered into a drawing to attend the season 50 finale in Los Angeles later this spring. Clues drop for Wisconsin’s location on Feb. 18 and people can go to the site during a designated period on Feb. 19.
