5 adults in hospital, 3 with stab wounds, following North York incident: officials

Three people were left with life-threatening injuries following an incident at a home in North York.

Five adults were taken to the hospital, say paramedics, three of whom have stab wounds, Toronto police added, following an incident in North York late Monday night.

In a post on X, Toronto police said they were called to the area of Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West at around 9:45 p.m. for reports of unknown trouble at a residential address.

The incident happened at a residence on Plum Tree Way, which is near Bathurst Street and Finch Avenue West.

There, police say officers found “multiple people who had been injured.”

They say four victims were transported to hospital “with various levels of injury.”

Three of the victims sustained stab wounds, police said.

One person has been arrested.

Toronto Paramedic Services tell CP24 that they transported five adults to the hospital: three with life-threatening injuries, one with minor injuries, and another for assessment.

The gender of the patients is not known at this time.

This investigation is ongoing and there is a large police presence in the vicinity.
