Sensex Little Changed, AI Summit in Focus

The BSE Sensex was little changed to around 83,300 on Tuesday, halting gains from the previous session, as investors look for cues from the ongoing Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit.

Hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit alongside Infosys’ upcoming AI investor meet is expected to shape the tech sector outlook while highlighting India’s broader AI ambitions and related workforce risks.

Infosys led the advance in the tech sector, up 2.7%, while Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies, and Wipro added 1% to 1.8%.

On the downside, Reliance dropped nearly 1%, while HDFC Bank traded flat, a day after value buying boosted both stocks.

Other notable losses came from ICICI Bank (-0.8%), Mahindra (-1.1%), and Kotak Mahindra bank (-0.9%).

Markets now await upcoming flash PMi readings this week for clues on the country’s economic health.
