Love Islands: All Stars fans urge Leanne to “speak up” after Scott’s Belle dig

Love Island: All Stars season 3 spoilers follow.

Love Island: All Stars season 3 has aired an explosive argument around the dinner table as fans urged Leanne Amaning to “say something” after Scott van-der-Sluis’ comment about Belle Hassan didn’t land well.

The ITV2 show saw the Islanders up for a potentially perilous challenge in tonight’s episode.

Each couple was tasked with asking a question about their own pair and another about one of their fellow couples and put them to the public; they would then read the answers at dinner in front of everyone.

When Scott and Leanne asked their own couple’s question in a roundabout way, throwing Belle into the mix, things got awkward. Fans of the show remember these three had been in a love triangle for a hot minute, with Scott briefly exploring a “flirty” connection with Belle after Leanne had called for a break.

Once Scott and Leanne reunited, a disappointed Belle, who was upset about Scott underplaying their spark, snapped, saying he’d been in her DMs within a week of them leaving the Villa.

A week has passed since, but Scott rehashed Belle’s comment, asking the public whether he would truly slide into Belle’s DMs after Love Island wraps.

Scott and Leanne’s question shocked their co-stars, with Harrison Solomon saying in disbelief: “This was a question to ask about your couple…”, and Whitney Adebaypo doubling down on it: “Where did that come from? Shade!”

“Referencing Belle’s side comment…” Whitney said, to which Belle replied: “It doesn’t make sense.”

“I don’t think it’s that deep,” Scott said, but Belle insisted he and Leanne wanted “have a laugh at [her] expense”.

“Scott, you can’t do something and then when it doesn’t work out the way you want it to, say: ‘It’s not that deep’,” Belle continued.

“You’ve done it to try and embarrass me,” she said after his tentative apology.

On Instagram, Love Island fans couldn’t help but notice that Leanne was being extremely quiet as Scott was speaking for the both of them.

“i wish leanne would say something,” one person noted, while someone else wrote: “Leanne needs a backbone. Scott is always the voice and she’s just there.”

“Can Leanne speak?” another comment read, with another fan wondering why Leanne wouldn’t help Belle “out of her grave”.

“Leanne [needs] some backbone honestly like how are u so quiet girl,” they wrote. “Stand on ur toes with ur man and dig belle out of her grave what the hell is going on here.”

Another, more diplomatic comment was: “i hear both sides tbh but Leanne you need to say something girl.”

“Leanne just sitting there letting Scott take the heat,” someone else added.

Later on, Samie Elishi returned on the pie-gate with Lucinda Strafford, pleased the public sided with her about Lucinda going a little too hard on her.

Meanwhile, Scott and Leanne became the most-talked about couple when their co-stars asked the public whether Scott was coming across as genuine, with only a narrow majority thinking he was being truthful.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
