AJ Styles WWE Raw Tribute Show Plans Major Update

WWE

A big update has emerged reagrding plans for the AJ Styles tribute on the Monday, February 23 edition of WWE Raw.

Taking place in Atlanta, Georgia – Styles’ home state – WWE announced last week that the show will feature a “tribute” to Styles following his in-ring retirement.

Styles lost a match against GUNTHER at WWE Royal Rumble on January 31, with the stipulation that it would be Styles’ retirement match if he lost.

After the match, Styles caused more headlines by going to take his ring gloves off, but then deciding against it.

He later clarified that in true wrestling fashion he hasn’t 100% closed the door on a potential in-ring return in the future, but for now, he is retired.

Despite question marks over his status, Styles has been in and around WWE since that match, including making appearances on official WWE podcasts and more.

In a big update regarding the plans for Raw, Joe Tessitore stated on WWE SmackDown tonight that Raw will see Styles “address the WWE universe one final time.”

Seemingly unrelated to the Styles tribute, Brock Lesnar is set to return on Monday’s Raw as well for his first appearance since the Rumble.
