UFC Houston: Alden Coria vs. Luis Gurule: Prediction

My prediction is a unanimous decision victory for Coria against Gurule because he’s the quicker fighter. Both are heavy punchers with one-punch knockout power, but the speed of Coria will be the key difference on fight night.

Aside from the quickness of Coria, he’ll also enjoy the edge in physicality as the taller and longer fighter. This will be crucial in exchanges, but I think that Coria is going to land more strikes because he won’t need to cover a lot of distance.

Furthermore, Coria has more variety in his offensive arsenal than Gurule, and this will come in handy in the latter part of the match, where both should dig deep in order to sway the judges in giving them the victory via their scorecards.

Alden Coria’s Recent Fight Results

Coria was an LFA and Fury Fighting Championship standout before the UFC signed him in 2025. He made a memorable debut inside the octagon with a third-round stoppage victory over Alessandro Costa at Noche UFC.

Luis Gurule’s Recent Fight Results

Gurule was the former Fury Fighting Championship titleholder. He joined Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2024 and eked out a split decision victory over Nick Piccininni to secure a UFC contract. However, he hasn’t won a fight in the promotion after Ode Osbourne and Jesus Aguilar defeated him in his two bouts.
