Summer Love Island 2026 returns in just hours, featuring brand new Islanders seeking romance.
Among the lineup are a West End star, who has previously featured on Strictly, alongside a detective, as the popular ITV2 reality programme pledges to deliver abundant drama throughout the coming weeks.
Maya Jama will return as presenter as the completely new series launches on ITV2 and ITVX on Monday, June 1 at 9pm. ITV previously revealed: “Heading to sun-drenched Mallorca for the ultimate game of love, a brand-new batch of Islanders must couple up or clear out as they dive headfirst into a summer of twists, turns, and tests – all in pursuit of finding a connection.

Alongside the UK edition, Love Island USA is also set to commence on June 2 and many may be questioning if and how they can watch from the UK, reports OK!.
When does Love Island USA begin?
Love Island USA begins on June 2, welcoming its eighth series. Nevertheless, it tends to be considerably shorter than the UK with episodes broadcasting on Peacock.
Previously, UK audiences have become obsessed with the USA edition of the programme, frequently contrasting the two, as one individual posted on Reddit: “I finally got around to watching US version’s S6 recently and have been watching S7 regularly and I completely understand the hype.”
Another commented: “The US version also has more meat on its bones. The episodes are actually 1 hour long, rather than 45 mins with commercials…., they still do challenges and since US season 6, the producers have proven superior.”

Episodes of Love Island USA can be streamed on ITVX, however, it remains uncertain whether the streaming platform will make the new series accessible to viewers. At present, seasons one to seven can be streamed in the UK.
Given that Peacock is not available in the UK, viewers may need to wait until episodes become available on ITVX, or catch snippets shared on social media.
Love Island USA previously issued a cautionary note to anyone tuning into the forthcoming season as they posted on Instagram: “The villa runs on good vibes, and so does this community. We love seeing your reactions, opinions, and debates, but everyone deserves to feel safe and respected.
“This is a space for fun, not negativity – so keep it kind, keep it positive, and remember: this is LOVE Island!”
