Major League Soccer’s 2026 season is officially up and running.
The new campaign was an hour old on Saturday when St. Louis City claimed the first goal of the opening weekend through Marcel Hartel against Charlotte FC.

The 30-year-old was the recipient of a slick, inch-perfect assist from Simon Becher and drove his low shot from outside the box.
Overall, it’s some impressive teamwork from the home side. And it’s the first goal of many this season, we’re sure!
