Lynchburg, Va. – The Liberty Flames will welcome the High Point Panthers to Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium for the Flames’ first midweek game of the season on Wednesday. The contest is the fourth game of seven-game homestand.
Quick Hits
Liberty opened the home portion of its 2026 schedule against No. 25 West Virginia this past weekend. The Flames won the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday to salvage one game of the three-game series.
• Liberty will play 14 out of its next 17 games at home at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium. The Flames are currently 1-2 on their current seven-game home stand.
• Liberty is coming off a 30-27 season in 2025, marking its first 30-win season since 2022 (37-23).

• Liberty head coach Bradley LeCroy enters the weekend four wins shy of his milestone 100th career victory.

• The Flames posted a 30-27 mark in LeCroy’s first season as head coach at Liberty. He previously spent two seasons at VCU, where he led the Rams to a 63-53 record.
Marsh Set to Lead Flames Offense Again in 2026
• Liberty starting shortstop Tanner Marsh is the Flames’ top returning offensive threat from the 2025 season.
• Marsh, along with right-handed pitcher Ben Blair, was named to the CUSA Preseason All-Conference Team.
• The junior shortstop had a hit in each game of Liberty’s series against No. 25 West Virginia this past weekend. Marsh had a base-clearing triple in Liberty’s 4-1 victory
over the Mountaineers in game two of a doubleheader Saturday.
• He has reached base in all six Liberty games and leads the Flames with five RBI in 2026
• Marsh has started every game at shortstop for the Flames since joining the Liberty roster in 2024.
• Last season, the infielder hit .295 with 52 runs scored, 22 RBI, 11 doubles, and two home runs in 56 games.
• He also stole a team-high 18 bases and led the Flames with 21 multi-hit games.
• The Asheboro, N.C., native walked 32 times and posted a .378 on-base percentage.
• One of the top defenders in CUSA, Marsh had a .962 fielding percentage, committing nine errors in 236 chances at shortstop. He finished third in the conference with 153 fielding assists.
