MARVEL Comics has a massive place in the hearts of many film and TV aficionados and gamers. It’s almost impossible to go into any arcade and not find some sort of superhero game attached to the MARVEL brand. Now, thanks to Limited Run Games, we’re getting “13 comic-to-console and handheld counterpart titles from the past” in “MARVEL MaXimum Collection.”
In addition to this announcement, a reveal trailer was posted to the Limited Run Games YouTube channel, alongside a list of new features that fans can expect once they dive in. Fans can also expect an all-new soundtrack by legendary composer Chris Huelsbeck of “Turrican” fame. A release date was not announced.
The trailer features a look at the games included and even provides a list of what players will be getting their hands on:
- X-Men: The Arcade Game
- Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge
- Captain America and the Avengers
- Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage
- Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety
- Silver Surfer
The “MARVEL MaXimum Collection” will also include features that will help make it the ultimate assortment of content for fans everywhere. These features include:
- Rollback Netcode in X-Men: The Arcade Game
- Save Anywhere
- In-Game Rewind
- Museum
- Cheat Menus
- And More!
We truly are living in the future when we can play “X-Men: The Arcade Game” wherever we want. Despite there not being a release date, players can expect the “MARVEL MaXimum Collection” to be available for PS5, Xbox, Switch, and PC via Steam.
