Based on Julia Quinn’s third “Bridgerton” book, “An Offer from a Gentleman,” Season 4 sees second-eldest son Benedict (Luke Thompson) step into the spotlight. The first four episodes followed his infatuation with a mysterious “lady in silver” he met at the start of the season, as well as his growing relationship with a maid named Sophie (Yerin Ha) he met in the countryside.

Little does he know, they’re the same person.

Part 1 of Season 4 ended on a cliffhanger when Benedict asked Sophie three heart-stopping words: “Be my mistress.”

What Comes After ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4?

As this chapter comes to a close, Season 4 is far from the end of the “Bridgerton” tale. The show was renewed for Seasons 5 and 6 in May 2025.

And “Bridgerton” showrunner Jess Brownell has already discreetly revealed the next leads.

At the Season 4 red carpet premiere in Paris on Jan. 14, Brownell wore a mauve suit with white pocket squares embroidered with the letters “E” and “F.”

“I would say both characters with the initials on my pocket squares will get seasons in 5 and 6,” Brownell told Deadline on the red carpet.

Those keeping track know that there are four Bridgerton siblings who have yet to star in a season of the show: Eloise (Claudia Jesse), Francesca (Hannah Dodd), Gregory (Will Tilston) and Hyacinth (Florence Hunt).

Brownell previously told TODAY.com that she does not plan to ever combine the Bridgerton siblings’ stories.

“Every Bridgerton will get a solo season. We will not combine siblings, ever,” she said. “That is not in the cards.”
