The Champions League final is the match they all want to play in. Being crowned Europe’s top team remains the ultimate prize in the beautiful game and 24 clubs are in the mix.
Paris Saint-Germain are the reigning champions after demolishing Inter in last season’s showpiece and Luis Enrique’s remain in contention as this season’s tournament enters the knockout phase. They failed to progress automatically to the last 16, however, and will need to overcome fellow French fancies Monaco in the play-offs.
The Premier League’s well represented, with a bumper six teams still involved. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham all sailed through to the last 16, but Newcastle face a long time on the road as they meet Qarabag from Azerbaijan in the play-offs.
