PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The wait is nearly over!
Din Tai Fung, the Taiwanese chain famous for their soup dumplings, announced the opening date for their Scottsdale Fashion Square store.

The highly anticipated first location in Arizona will open on April 20, a representative with the company told Arizona’s Family.
Reservations will be open to the public starting Thursday, February 26, at 9 a.m. on their website.
Din Tai Fung has been wildly popular around the country and globe, known for their upscale-casual restaurants serving up delicious Chinese food, with a particular emphasis on the Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings.
The Scottsdale store will be 10,000 square feet, feature a dumpling expo viewing kitchen, 340 seats and have a full bar, according to Din Tai Fung brand representative.

The restaurant will be located on the lower level of Scottsdale Fashion Square next to Catcha and Élephante.
Din Tai Fung has had tremendous success ever since it came to North America in 2000, with their first store opening in Arcadia, California.

“The combination of delicious and high-quality dishes, friendly service, and a beautiful restaurant environment is the key differentiator for Din Tai Fung,” North America CEO Aaron Yang told the Michelin Guide. “It’s not just about soup dumplings for us; it’s about the whole cultural experience we create for our guests.”
The restaurant takes great pride in handcrafting their Xiao Long Bao, where they use their signature Golden Ratio of 18 folds.
Yang told the Michelin Guide it is more than just a number.
“The 18 folds not only look beautiful, but they also ensure the filling and soup have enough room to expand during the cooking process. This precision creates a harmonious balance between the delicate wrapper, savory filling, and rich broth, resulting in the perfect bite.” he said.
Another store is planned for Chandler Fashion Center, with a slated opening date of 2027, according to a Facebook post from the mall.
