West Somerset Railway has announced an exciting visiting locomotive for their WSR 50 Spring Steam Spectacular running on the 1st-4th May.
LNER A4 No.60007 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ will be visiting for the special gala, marking its first visit to the Minehead branch.
The locomotive, which is joining courtesy of the SNGLT and Locomotive Services Limited, will join other visiting locomotives and resident locomotives to celebrate the railway’s 50th anniversary.

It will join the likes of Bagnall 0-6-0ST No.2996 ‘Victor’, GWR 2884 Class No. 3850, and GWR 78XX No.7802 ‘Bradley Manor’ at the Gala, with still more announcements to come.
