South Africa are the only unbeaten side left in this T20 World Cup and booked their spot in the semi-finals with a game to spare.
Aiden Markram’s side topped Group D, completing comfortable wins over Canada (57 runs), New Zealand (seven wickets), and UAE (six wickets) but had to come through not one but two super overs against Afghanistan.
In the Super 8s, they hammered India by 76 runs before chasing 177 with nine wickets and 23 balls to spare against West Indies.
Zimbabwe were the surprise table-toppers in Group B, beating Oman (eight wickets), Australia (23 runs), and Sri Lanka (six wickets) and having their meeting with Ireland washed out.
However, they’ve come back to down to earth with a bump in the Super 8s, leaking more than 250 in heavy defeats to both West Indies and India.
Zimbabwe have never beaten South Africa in a T20I, losing all seven of their completed meetings.
