Kristen, who is married to actor and podcast host Dax Shepard, 51, is worth an astonishing $80 million. How did she go from a girl from the suburbs of Detroit to a multi-millionaire Disney princess?

Kristen’s iconic career, from Veronica Mars to Princess Anna

Kristen’s breakout role was as the title character in Veronica Mars. She landed the role on the teen mystery drama show when she was 24, starring in it until 2007. After the show wrapped, Kristen’s film career took off. She starred in a slew of romantic comedies, from Forgetting Sarah Marshall to When in Rome.

But, it is really Kristen’s voice that built her net worth. The actress and singer lent her voice to Gossip Girl, serving as the narrator in the teen drama series for five years. And, in 2013, Kristen starred in the Disney animated film Frozen.

Worldwide, Frozen grossed over $1.28 billion at the box office. Because of the massive success, Disney moved forward with a string of sequels – Frozen 2 coming out in 2019 and two more movies in the works.

While Kristen’s exact earnings from Frozen were not made public, she and her co-stars, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad, earned approximately $15 million each for Frozen 2. And for the upcoming sequels – Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 – Kristen reportedly negotiated an impressive $60 million package.

Kristen and Dax’s combined wealth

The actress’ husband is also worth a reported $80 million. In 2024, he signed a deal with Amazon’s Wondery for his podcast, Armchair Expert, reportedly valued at $80 million.

And the two have become entrepreneurs to increase their wealth. In 2019, they co-founded Hello Bello, a company dedicated to making premium baby products accessible to all parents. In 2023, the company was acquired for a reported $65 million.

Kristen married Dax in October 2013 after meeting six years prior at a mutual friend’s birthday party. The actors had a three-year engagement choosing to wait until LGBTQ+ marriage was legal in California to get married themselves.

In March 2013, Kristen and Dax welcomed their first child, a girl named Lincoln. A little over a year later, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Delta. The parents are vocal advocates for their daughter’s privacy.
