Toronto could see ‘jaw-dropping’ winter warmth this weekend
Temperatures in Toronto this weekend could reach the double digits, offering a break from what many have described as a brutal winter in the city.
“Saturday will have people’s jaws dropping,” CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter said of the expected high of 16 C that day, mixed with a few showers and a gusty wind.
The temperature will drop slightly on Sunday, but stay in the double digits with a high of 10 C. Coulter said that the mild conditions will continue into next week, when the mercury won’t dip below 12 C.
“Monday through Wednesday will continue to be very mild. But, by the end of next week, temperatures are expected to return to wintery values with the risk of wintry precipitation. Enjoy the tease of mid-spring weather while it’s here. But don’t put away the snow gear just yet.”
Thursday will see late day showers with the risk of an evening freezing drizzle.
Friday’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with evening showers and overnight rain. The afternoon temperature will sit around 3 C before climbing to 5 C later that evening.
