The PIAA State Championships wrap up another day of competition on Mar. 6. With the quarterfinals and semifinals behind us, the result is exactly what you want if you are a Bo Bassett fan.
Bassett has punched his ticket into the championship match as for wrestling fans across the country, this could be the match of the year.
The Bishop McCourt senior had his way with his quarterfinal and semifinal matches. Basset walked away with a 17-2 victory in the quarters and a 21-6 victory in the semis.
As the championship fight is set, only one opponent stands in the way of Bassett and his third title. That opponent is Brandt Harer.

When Does Bo Bassett Compete In The Finals
- Bassett will compete in the finals of the PIAA State Wrestling championships on Mar. 7.
- Brandt Harer will be the competition. Harer won his semifinal match, 16-0, to secure his spot in the final.
- The title match will begin at approximately 4:00 PM ET/ 3:00 PM CT.
Why Is This The Match To Watch
The title fight between Bo Bassett and Brandt Harer has been brewing for a while.
What can easily be noted as the must watch match in the 2026 PIAA’s, these two wrestlers are the cream of the crop. Basset is the No. 1 wrestler while Harer is the No. 4 in the country.
This matchup was almost possible in the Dual Team State Championships, but Harer ultimately stepped out with a final decision from his father and coach.
As the No. 1 and the No. 2 seeds in the bracket will square off, Bassett will look to join and elite club by pickup up his third title and keep an undefeated career alive.
