Colts lock up WR Pierce
The Indianapolis Colts have made their first major move of the off-season, as they have reportedly agreed to a record-breaking four-year deal with wide receiver Alec Pierce worth $116 million.
It is the largest contract given to a wide receiver in free agency in NFL history.
Pierce, 25, made his desire known to be paid like a top-tier receiver in the NFL headed in to the off-season, and the Colts were confident enough to spend the money to make that happen.
Pierce caught 47 passes four 1,003 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games for Indianapolis a season ago, and has led the NFL in average yards per reception in back-to-back campaigns.
