Bengals to make major $60 million splash with Seahawks pass rusher

The Cincinnati Bengals entered the offseason with a ton of needs to address on the defensive side of the ball.
Wasting more of Joe Burrow’s prime would be a catastrophic mistake. Adding to the defense, the weakest link from 2025 is a must. They have already agreed to the terms with Bryan Cook and are now making another big addition.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Bengals are in agreement with Seattle Seahawks pass rusher Boye Mafe on a three-year, $60 million contract.
Bengals to sign Boye Mafe to $60M deal
“Boye Mafe heads to the Bengals on 3 for $60M deal per his agent,” Schultz reported. It’s a big deal for the Seahawks’ pass rusher.
Mafe is a 27-year-old pass rusher who was a 2022 second-round pick by the Seahawks at 40th overall. He spent four years with the Seahawks and is now coming to the Bengals.
In four seasons with Seattle, Mafe had 14 passes defended, three forced fumbles, 20 total sacks, including just two this past season, and 164 tackles with 24 tackles for loss and 46 quarterback hits.

This three-year deal for Mafe comes in at $20 million per-season. After a down year in 2025, the Super Bowl champions.
Mafe lands a strong deal with the Bengals to join Shemar Stewart and Myles Murphy in the edge rusher room.
The Bengals need a lot of help on defense, and this $60 million addition, combined with their $40.25 million pickup of Cook, is a good start for Duke Tobin and the Bengals in addressing the defense this offseason.
