Michael B. Jordan’s unbelievable net worth revealed

Michael B. Jordan is the name on everybody’s lips after his phenomenal dual role in Sinners, which won him an Actor Award and earned him his first-ever Oscar nomination at 39.

The actor has come a long way since making his screen debut in a 1999 episode of The Sopranos, and not only has his star risen, but his net worth has too.

Michael can now command millions of dollars for his movies and was reportedly paid $4 million for starring as Stack and Smoke in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners.

This is double what he was paid for playing the antagonistic Erik ‘Killmonger’ Stevens opposite the late Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa, in Marvel’s Black Panther in 2018, for which he earned $2 million.

Career

Michael began his career as a child model before making his acting debut in 1999. He then landed several small parts, appearing that same year on the CBS sitcom Cosby and in the film Black and White.

In 2002, he began to gain recognition after appearing in 12 episodes of the critically acclaimed HBO series The Wire, followed by stints on All My Children, Without a Trace, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Cold Case, Burn Notice, Bones, and Friday Night Lights.

But it wasn’t until 2013 when he starred in Coogler’s biographical drama Fruitvale Station, playing shooting victim Oscar Grant, that he entered mainstream conversation and earned his first taste of Oscar buzz.

“To be a part of that conversation, or for anybody to think that the film is worthy of that type of company of the Academy… that’s good enough for me,” he previously said.

He followed this up in 2015, playing Johnny Storm in the box-office flop Fantastic Four, but later that year, he earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of Adonis Johnson, son of Apollo Creed, in the Rocky spin-off and sequel, Creed.

Following Creed II in 2018, which earned $214.1 million at the box office, Michael starred in another huge hit and joined the cast of Black Panther, which earned seven Oscar nominations and grossed a whopping $1.347 billion at the box office.

Michael has several films in the pipeline, too, with his next big role rumored to be a reboot of Miami Vice, as well as the 2027 remake of the romantic heist film The Thomas Crown Affair, which he directed and stars as the title character.

Michael revealed that it was his mom, Donna Jordan, who helped kickstart his acting career. “My mom got me started on lots of things, and it just snowballed,” he told HuffPost.

“They wanted to cater to my talents or find out the things that I liked or didn’t like. And I just started booking at a really young age; little small modeling jobs, to extra work, to background, to little commercials.”
