Aviation continues to be impacted by the conflict in the Middle East with several flights between the region and Manchester Airport cancelled today, March 15.

According to FlightAware, a total of 1,749 flights were cancelled around the world yesterday. So far today 1,558 flights have been cancelled.

Qatar Airways has cancelled two flights destined for Manchester on Sunday. The airline continues to operate limited services to help passengers directly impacted by the disruption.

In its latest statement issued today, the airline said: “Qatar Airways will resume operations once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe full reopening of Qatari airspace by the relevant authorities.” A number of Emirates and Etihad flights are still operating.

Meanwhile, Gulf Air has suspended flights to and from Bahrain as its airspace remains closed. In a statement Bahrain Airport said the measure “is in place to ensure the highest level of safety for our passengers and employees.”

  • 7.45am Qatar Airways flight QR22 to Doha
  • 10.15am Gulf Air flight GF4 to Bahrain
  • 9.30pm Qatar Airways flight QR24 to Doha

Arrivals

  • 6.35am Gulf Air flight GF5 from Bahrain
