Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, has refuted allegations that he sent a voice note pleading for money, just days after Katie asserted she’s seen evidence of his millionaire status.

Lee stands accused of sending desperate voice notes in which he pleads for cash and laments surviving on 20 ready meals, mere days before his extravagant proposal to Katie, 47, in January. It’s alleged that in one voice note, Lee declares he’s “desperate” and “trying to survive”.

In an Instagram post, Lee dismissed the allegations, simply commenting on a post making the claims: “This is not me”. The voice notes were reportedly received by a female friend based in the US, who alleges Lee requested her to wire him money on several occasions.

The woman alleges Lee began asking her for money in October and when she declined to give him the cash, Lee retorted with: “F*** off, timewasters.”

Meanwhile, Lee also took to his Instagram story to reinforce claims that counterfeit voice notes featuring his voice are being circulated.

He shared a screenshot of three Instagram accounts pretending to be him and captioned it: “Warning Ignore the fake accounts and fake voice notes”.

The unnamed woman told The Sun: “Lee first contacted me in May last year. We kept it to business, nothing romantic.”

She added: “I am a businesswoman and I believed he was a businessman. We talked about work.

“In October last year, he started asking for money. He wanted 3,000 US dollars wired to him using Western Union,” she said. The woman said she “came close” to sending the cash but then the more she “thought about it, the more worried I got”.

She alleges that as time progressed the voice messages became increasingly frantic as Lee claimed to be too skint to eat properly and was “desperate” for the money to “get things moving” but she declined.

This follows Katie speaking out to defend her husband Lee, rejecting allegations he’s a fraudster and insisting she has witnessed evidence of his fortune earlier this week, reports the Mirror.

Talking to The Sun, who say the OnlyFans star has shown them copies of Lee’s documents, including his passport, she states: “I’m not stupid. I’ve learned now that I don’t need a man. I always used to need a man in my life whereas now I don’t need a man, I just want one.

“So yes, I can reassure everyone at home that I haven’t gone for a con man. I haven’t gone for a scammer. There was no love bombing.”
