Reports: Broncos to acquire Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle in blockbuster trade

The Denver Broncos are about to give Bo Nix a top target.
The Broncos have agreed to a deal with the Miami Dolphins to acquire star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, per multiple reports Tuesday.
Miami will get Denver’s first-round pick (30th overall) in this year’s NFL Draft along with third- and fourth-round picks, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Broncos will also receive a fourth-round pick from the Dolphins as part of the deal.
Waddle, 27, had 64 catches for 910 yards and six touchdowns last season for an inconsistent Miami offence.
He was in trade rumours before the deadline last year, but the Dolphins opted to keep the sixth-overall pick from the 2021 draft.
The Alabama product started his NFL career with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons before dipping under the mark the past two years.
The Dolphins are in rebuilding mode with a new GM (Jon-Eric Sullivan) and coach (Jeff Hayley) this year and after cutting ties with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
The Broncos, conversely, are coming off a season in which they finished with the best record in the AFC before losing in the conference final to the New England Patriots.
Nix, entering his third season, remains on a rookie contract, helping the Broncos to make a big move like this one.
