For the first time in more than a decade, Missouri basketball is going to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back years.
Mizzou was selected to the 68-team March Madness field as a 10-seed during the live Selection Sunday show Sunday, March 15. The Tigers will take on 7-seed Miami on Friday in St. Louis.
That means head coach Dennis Gates’ team is going to the Big Dance for the third time in four seasons, including each of the past two years.
The last time MU earned back-to-back March Madness appearances was when the Tigers went in five straight seasons between 2009-13.

Missouri (20-12) has lost its past three games entering the tournament. After underwhelming through its nonconference slate, which includes four NCAA Tournament teams (Kansas, Illinois, Howard and Prairie View A&M), Mizzou won 10 SEC games, including a 6-2 stretch from Jan. 31-Feb. 28, to get back into the March Madness bubble discussion.
