Prince Edward city check‑in launches two‑hour Zhuhai International Airport transfer at HK$260

19th May 2026 – (Hong Kong) A new city check‑in facility offering direct cross‑border transfers to Zhuhai International Airport has opened in Prince Edward, providing travellers with a two‑hour coach journey priced at a promotional HK$260.
Operated by Kwoon Chung Bus under its Trans‑Island Limousine Service brand, the facility began service on 19th May at a ground‑floor premises on Portland Street in Mong Kok. The lounge provides luxury business‑class vehicle transfers and staffed check‑in services, allowing passengers to complete formalities in Hong Kong before travelling straight to the mainland airport.
The service runs 14 return trips daily between the city lounge and Zhuhai International Airport, with a journey time of around two hours. Regular single fares are set at HK$330, though a discounted rate of HK$260 will apply during the first year of operation. In addition, passengers holding a valid Zhuhai International Airport boarding pass issued within three days, together with valid identification, can redeem a cross‑boundary ticket for HK$1 until 18th July.
The lounge operates almost around the clock, opening at 7.30am and closing at 6.30am the following day. Facilities include flight information displays, destination maps and departure timetables for direct transfers to the airport.
Matthew Wong, chairman of Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings, said the Prince Edward location benefits from convenient transport links and would make travel to mainland destinations easier for Hong Kong residents. The group already operates similar city check‑in services at Huanggang, Shenzhen Bay and Zhuhai ports.
Ben Chan, chairman of the Legislative Council’s Panel on Transport, noted that while Hong Kong International Airport has a strong global network, its mainland route coverage is comparatively limited. Zhuhai International Airport, by contrast, connects to 68 cities across China. He said that in the past, travellers had to rely on multiple transfers, including the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge shuttle bus, to reach Zhuhai International Airport. The new downtown facility, he added, streamlines the process by offering a seamless point‑to‑point connection.
Zhuhai International Airport currently serves 68 domestic destinations and ranks 14th among mainland airports handling passenger volumes in the tens of millions. It also operates a number of differentiated routes for Hong Kong and Macao travellers, including services to cities such as Changchun, Shenyang, Dali, Yangzhou, Luoyang, Shangrao and Tangshan.
