40 vehicles involved in crash on I-81 in Oswego County

The New York State Police is investigating a crash involving around 40 vehicles in the Town of Richland, Oswego County, N.Y., on Tuesday afternoon.

The state police said the crash occurred on I-81 southbound between Exit 126 toward Pulaski, N.Y. and Exit 131 toward Tinker Tavern. Multiple tractor-trailers are involved.

The police said drivers should expect “significant delays.”

I-81 southbound between the Pulaski exit is closed so that emergency vehicles can respond to the scene. The latest update from 511NY was posted at 1:26 p.m.
