With the rise of AI, everything seen online should be taken with a grain of salt. The latest hoax to fool the internet is a photo that appears to show Tyler Perry and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Marlo Hampton kissing, seemingly confirming a romance. However, both the image and the relationship are false. Loren LoRosa confirmed in a video that the photo in question was AI-generated.

As is often the case with internet misinformation, rumors began circulating after a photo appeared to show Perry and Hampton in a steamy kiss. In the post including the real photo alongside the fake one of the two lip locking, reads a caption: “Tyler Perry spotted with his new girlfriend.”
According to Loren Lorosa, the image was fabricated, and she said she was told the two had never met prior to that. The original source material is real, however, as the pair were photographed together at the Sea Salt SoulFull Sunday Gospel Brunch on March 15, pictured above.
For being one of the most prolific filmmakers of his time, Perry remains relatively private when it comes to his dating life. His longest relationship was with fellow filmmaker Gelila Bekele, with whom he shares one son. The two began dating in 2007 and split in 2020, remaining amicable.
He announced he was back on the market in an Instagram post, writing, “I’m 51, single and wondering what the next chapter in my life will look like.”
As for Hampton, she’s been linked to multiple wealthy men during her time on Real Housewives, most recently being linked to Scotley Innis, a chef.
The Beauty in the Black creator isn’t currently dating anyone publicly. However, Perry is facing a $77 million sexual assault lawsuit filed by actor Mario Rodriguez.
