A shallow magnitude 4.6 earthquake was reported early afternoon near Sanchez-Mira, Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.
According to the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, the quake hit on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, at 2:25 pm local time at a shallow depth of 10. km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
