FORECAST
Here’s WAVE News meteorologist Ryan Hoke with your forecast.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – We’ll keep it mainly clear and warm overnight as temperatures only fall into the 60s by Sunday morning. No jackets will be needed!
It will be breezy on Sunday as a cold front sinks south, creating wind gusts between 20 and 30 mph. While the daytime hours look dry, scattered showers and thunderstorms look to arrive after 8PM Sunday.
Some of these storms could be strong. Large hail is our main concern with storms moving through Sunday night.
Should these storms fire up behind the cold front, as a lot of data is suggesting, the wind and tornado threats would be very low for us. By 2AM Monday, the hail threat will end.
The last of the showers and storms will be gone well before sunrise on Monday, giving us a partly sunny and cooler day with highs only in the 50s.
We’ll eventually recover toward 60° on Tuesday and 70° by Wednesday as warmer air works in. Storm chances will go up starting Wednesday, with Thursday being the most likely day for stormy weather as another cold front approaches.
