‘Yo, you guys are wild’

Justin Timberlake‘s 2024 DWI arrest footage was released Friday, despite the pop singer’s attempt to block it.
The footage was released after Timberlake reached a settlement on Friday with the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and local officials.
A redacted version of the body cam footage was released.
TMZ was first to release the footage.
The pop star’s lawyers argued in a lawsuit earlier his year against the village of Sag Harbor and its police department that release of the video would “devastate” Timberlake’s privacy by revealing “intimate, highly personal, and sensitive details.”
In the video, Timberlake was given a series of field sobriety instructions. At one point, he said, “These are, like, hard tests.”
Asked if he’s visiting the area, Timberlake told him, “Yeah, I’m on tour … I’m on a world tour.”
The officer asks for clarification but Timberlake said, “It’s hard to explain … umm … I’m Justin Timberlake.”
The officer then asks Timberlake for his license and the vehicle’s registration before telling him to exit the vehicle to make sure he was “good to drive.”
According to PEOPLE, per documents obtained, Timberlake agreed to the public release of a version of the footage that “does not constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.”
In June 2024, the “Sexy Back” singer was arrested on DWI charges after having dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. He was pulled over after leaving dinner to drive to his friend’s house.
Timberlake told officers he had “one martini, and I followed my friends home’’ — while refusing three times to take a Breathalyzer test.
A Sag Harbor Police Department spokesperson said Timberlake was cited for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. He was released without bail and photographed leaving court.
