OK, first things first. Opening Day is Thursday. The Wednesday night season opener (Yankees vs. Giants) counts, but it’s not officially Opening Day. If you play in NFBC leagues and have a draft late Wednesday evening or Thursday morning, that is a Free Look game. You better believe Jerar Encarnacion will be drafted in the 18th round if he goes deep off Max Fried.
Anyway, real baseball is here! Hope you’ve enjoyed the preseason content, rankings and projections, and that our work sets you up for success. Our content train began rolling earlier than ever, way back in November. What a whirlwind it’s been. All my leagues are on NFBC except for FSGA (RT Sports) and Tout Wars (Fantrax). Additionally, I entered 170 best ball teams on Underdog Fantasy and 53 on DraftKings. I couldn’t get there with max entering the $15 The Dinger on Underdog – I got 90 of 150 in. These were mostly slow drafts with an 8-hour clock, which means that for the last four months, I’ve always been ON THE CLOCK.
It may not look like it, seeing my league count, but I’ve cut down on managed (with FAAB) teams in 2026. My focus is on providing you with the best fantasy baseball advice and helping you win your leagues. Friday through Sunday during the regular season is a grind between kids’ sports, family stuff and keeping up with the FAAB work. This leaves me with little time to properly manage my own bids, so I often rush them in the final half hour. One day, when I’m old and gray, I may play without my array of content spray, but that day is still far away!
