Noah Wyle weighs in on Hollywood’s future at merger hearing
“The Pitt” star Noah Wyle testifies at hearing on Paramount-Warner Bros. merger and the potential future of Hollywood.
Spoiler alert! This story includes details from Episodes 1 – 4 of HBO’s “DTF St. Louis.”
This group of friends is more twisted than you thought.
Turns out Floyd (David Harbour) knew his wife, Carol (Linda Cardellini), was having an affair with his best friend Clark (Jason Bateman), and he was OK with it. In fact, he was more than OK, considering he watched the two as they engaged with one another.
Episode 4 of HBO’s “DTF St. Louis” gave audiences a more in-depth look at the twisted trio’s dynamic. The episode, which premiered on Sunday, March 23, revealed that Floyd is in debt, a million-dollar life insurance policy is on the line, Carol may have a criminal record that was sealed or expunged and Clark helped Floyd get amphetamines to help with his erectile dysfunction.
While Floyd’s death continues to remain a mystery, all clues point towards Carol at this point, as detectives Homer (Richard Jenkins) and Plumb (Joy Sunday) race to solve the death.
HBO says the show is about a “love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise that leads to one of them ending up dead.”
“DTF St. Louis” creator Steven Conrad told People the show was inspired by his own personal experiences, when he began to see people around him “feel emotional desperation and then make bad decisions” in their middle age.
“I’m in my middle age, and most of my friends are too, and, somehow or another, it’s another phase of life where people make terrible decisions,” Conrad told the media outlet. “The first one’s 14, and no one wants to live through that again. But that same misguided, desperate need to fit in or to find someone to feel safe, it comes back around in middle age, and it can lead to bad decision-making.”
