Pokémon GO’s Season of Memories in Motion’s A Shockingly Good Time event guide

As we enter April, the next event in Pokémon GO is all about Electric-type Pokémon! A few Electric-type Pokémon will be featured throughout the event, including during daily Spotlight Hour events. Be on the look out though for some mischief on April Fools’ Day (April 1st). As we might see Mimikyu make their debut in Pokémon GO!
Now, check out what’s happening during the A Shockingly Good Time event with our guide below:
Pokémon GO’s Season of Memories in Motion – A Shockingly Good Time
Begins: Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 at 10 a.m. your local time.
Ends: Monday, April 6th, 2026 at 8 p.m. your local time.
Pokémon featured – Pikachu, Magnemite, Chinchou, Mareep, Joltik, Dedenne, and Pawmi + Mimikyu debut
Since A Shockingly Good Time is all about Electric-type Pokémon, a handful have been selected to be featured during this event. During the event, you can encounter Pikachu, Magnemite, Chinchou, Mareep, Joltik, Dedenne, and Pawmi in the wild, as rewards in Field Research tasks, and also as rank rewards in the event’s GO Pass. Raichu and Alolan Raichu are also featured, but weren’t advertised in the initial event details found on the official Pokémon GO site.
As for Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokémon, they have been spotted as the reward catch encounter in A Shockingly Good Time’s GO Pass (both free and Deluxe versions). Given the timing of this event, it is speculated that Mimikyu will debut officially during Pikachu’s Spotlight Hour event on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. your local time. UPDATE: Mimikyu will debut on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. Outside of the GO Pass, Mimikyu has been spotted as an encounter in the wild and for select Field Research tasks.
