The Bavarians played impressively last time out, but know it is still all to play for.

“We made a few adjustments and analyzed United’s processes again,” Bayern coach José Barcala said in his pre-match comments (captured via FCBayern.com). “But it could be a completely different game, they might well change their tactics. That’s why it will be extremely important for us to manage the game well. We expect very aggressive and well-organized opponents.”

Barcala also appealed to Bayern fans to help lift the team in what is expected to be a crowd out over 20,000.

“It’s the greatest thing ever to play in the Champions League in front of your own fans. We’re very strong as a collective and have no fear, but a healthy respect for United. We know what we’re capable of and won’t leave anyone on their own on the pitch. Everyone is on board, everyone knows what’s at stake,” added Giulia Gwinn.

One team is getting bounced from the competition at the end of this one. It should be a high-octane contest.

Prediction: Bayern wins the tie — after a brutal 1-1 fight.

It’s Bayern time.
