The strike on Lutsk was a part of a major Russian drone attack on April 1. Ukrainian air defense downed 298 out of 339 targets across the country, with explosions reported in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava, Sumy and Mykolaiv regions.

In Lutsk, the attack also destroyed a branch of Nova Poshta, Ukraine’s largest private postal operator, and hit a residential apartment building.

The Clever Stores LLC warehouse supplied the Simi and Sim23 networks with groceries, fresh and frozen goods. Simi had warned of potential temporary shortages of certain items in its stores due to the infrastructure loss.

The company reported that approximately 75% of the warehouse was damaged or destroyed. Fresh and frozen goods warehouses, totaling over 12,000 square meters (129,167 square feet), were destroyed, including all inventory and specialized refrigeration equipment. An additional 9,000 square meters (96,875 square feet) of dry storage and equipment warehouses suffered significant damage.

Despite the scale of the destruction, no casualties were reported as all employees were in shelters at the time of the strike, the company added.
