Gyokeres, 27, has 11 goals in 29 appearances this season for The Gunners and has pulled off his mask celebration in all competitions including for Sweden most recently as he helped his nation qualify for the World Cup.

Now, according to the Swedish Expressen, Gyokeres filed a case to the EU Trademark and Design Protection Authority to trademark his mask celebration.

Gyökeres creates this mask by interlocking his fingers over his mouth and nose which references Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises but more specifically Bane who stated: “No one cared who I was until I put on the mask.”

Gyökeres posted an edited video of a few of his highlights on Instagram two years ago when he was at Sporting and the celebration has stuck ever since.

The report claims the striker’s application was approved in September as he follows in the footsteps of Palmer and Mbappe who are said to be keen on the trademark due to branding.

After scoring a clinical hat trick to secure a 3-1 victory over Ukraine, sending his country to the World Cup, his attention will turn back to facing Southampton in the FA Cup Quarter Final this weekend.
