Michigan Basketball Injury Report: National Championship vs UConn

Michigan is set to play its final game of its magical 2025-26 season on Monday night, squaring off against the UConn Huskies in the National Championship.
The injury report was released Sunday night, and Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg was nowhere to be found.
Lendeborg suffered knee and ankle injuries that limited him to just 14 minutes in the semifinal game against Arizona. During Sunday’s media availability, Lendeborg told reporters that there was “no way” he’d be missing Monday’s game.
Dusty May had also told reporters that imaging on both Lendeborg’s knee and ankle came back clean on Sunday and that Lendeborg would be expected to play.
Lendeborg initially appeared to roll his ankle while driving to the basket and stepping on a defender’s foot during the first half. He returned to the game in the second half, but played sparingly, finishing the night with 11 points, three rebounds, and one assist.
On the UConn side, guard Solo Ball is also expected to play as well. Ball didn’t practice with the Huskies on Sunday after injuring his foot during the semifinal matchup against Illinois on Saturday night. UConn head coach Dan Hurley told reporters on Sunday that Ball had “some type of a foot sprain” and was using a walking boot. Ball scored 13 points on Saturday night for the Huskies and is averaging 12.9 points per game this season.
The National Championship is set to tip off on Monday at 8:50 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
