Laura Hamilton has hit out at what she describes as “disturbing” comments she receives online, revealing her discomfort at repeated suggestions she should monetise photos of her feet.

The A Place in the Sun presenter, 43, said she has been approached by followers encouraging her to join WikiFeet — a platform dedicated to browsing and rating images of celebrities’ feet — but firmly rejected the idea.

Speaking to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden an awards event in Mayfair, Laura explained: “It’s the people that comment on my feet online that I find disturbing. I post a lot of pictures around my house without any shoes on, and they’ll say like, ‘Wow, you know you have a really good WikiFeet?’”

She added: “I would never sell pictures of my feet, it’s hard enough creating content for social media platforms.”

Her remarks come amid a growing trend of celebrities monetising niche content online. Singer Lily Allen made headlines in 2024 when she launched an OnlyFans account to sell pictures and videos of her feet, under the title Lily Allen FTSE500, charging fans £8 a month for exclusive content.

However, Laura made it clear she has no intention of following suit, despite persistent encouragement from some corners of the internet.

The presenter has built a long-standing career in television, becoming a familiar face to UK audiences through her work on A Place in the Sun, where she helps house-hunters find their dream properties abroad. Known for her warm presenting style and expertise in overseas real estate, she has also appeared on a range of other programmes, including children’s TV earlier in her career.

Away from the screen, Laura is a mother of two and often shares glimpses of her home life on social media — something she says inadvertently attracts unwanted attention.

Last year, the travel expert hit back at a cruel troll who told her she was “too old” to wear a bikini. The TV star opened up about the harsh comment she received on social media, revealing how the criticism prompted a defiant response.

Taking to Instagram, Laura shared that one user had suggested she should avoid bikinis because of her age. Refusing to be deterred, the presenter proudly showcased her figure, posing in a tiny blue-and-white bikini as she pushed back against the negativity.

In the image — used as the cover for a video she posted — Laura is seen sitting poolside, confidently addressing the criticism. Captioning the post, she wrote: “Who decides when we’re ‘too old’ for anything?”

She explained the post was a direct response to being told she was “too old” to wear a bikini.

Laura added: “I recently read a comment saying I was too old to wear a bikini…and it honestly made me stop and think for a second.

“But then I reminded myself, life’s way too short to worry about what other people think.”

She defiantly said: “Today I’m wearing a swimsuit, not because of the comment I read but because I wanted to and I feel comfortable in it!

“We all have days when we feel self-conscious, but we deserve to enjoy the sunshine, the beach, the pool, whatever makes us happy, no matter our age and whether we choose to wear a swimsuit or a bikini!

“Live your life and feel good in your own skin,” she concluded.
