The convenience store and gas station held its grand opening celebration in Chillicothe on Feb. 17, 2026.
A convenience store brand known for restaurant-quality food, with fueling stations and a passionate fanbase is coming to Indiana.
(No, not that one.)
Sheetz is expanding to the state with plans to build 100 stores here over the next 10 years.
The Indiana developments represent about $1 billion in investment and will create more than 3,000 long-term jobs.
The 24/7 store chain touts made-to-order food with indoor and outdoor seating, along with fuel, grocery and convenience items, free wi-fi and spotless restrooms.
It’s among brands that boast a cult-like following, with crowds gathering for store openings in new locations.
Where will Sheetz open in Indiana?
The first of the Indiana stores will open in the Indianapolis area in 2027, the company said. Specific locations and opening dates will be announced later.
The move is part of the family-owned, Altoona, Pennsylvania-based chain’s rapid expansion in the Midwest, which will also see the 2026 opening of a new food preparation and distribution center in Findlay, Ohio, to support the growth.
“Over the past several years, we have received a significant number of inquiries from Indiana residents who want to see Sheetz in their communities,” said Travis Sheetz, president and CEO, said in a statement issued on April 8. “This momentum has been reinforced by the enthusiastic response to our unique offerings in new Midwest markets.”
Sheetz operates more than 830 locations in Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia.
It marked the Indiana announcement with a $25,000 donation to the Special Olympics Indiana.
