Services from Twickenham to London Waterloo affected following a death

Trains from Twickenham towards London Waterloo have been cancelled and delayed this afternoon (Thursday, 9 April) after a person died on the tracks at Clapham Junction.

A spokesperson for South Western Railway (SWR) told Nub News: “We were called to Queenstown Road railway station at 11.49am on 9 April to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

SWR says it expects that services will resume at the end of the day and asks commuters to check their journeys via its website here.

The British Transport Police has been approached for comment.
