Cocoa Beach teacher arrested for alleged sexual acts with student

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Agents arrested a Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School math teacher Friday April 10, for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a student.

Agents with the sheriff’s Special Victims Unit arrested 37-year-old Kirsten Rose on an arrest warrant for Lewd and Indecent Exposure Offenses against a student by an authority figure, and five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to social media posts from the sheriff’s office.

The investigation began in March when the parents of a male student believed he was having an inappropriate relationship with a teacher, after he was late coming home from work one evening. The parents checked their son’s location and noticed he was at a residence that was unknown to them. When they questioned him regarding his whereabouts, he stated he was at his girlfriend’s house, but refused to say who that was. As the parents continued to question him, he ultimately revealed that he was in a relationship with his teacher.

Sheriff’s agents subsequently started an investigation, which revealed that the student and teacher began communicating outside of school via Instagram back in November of 2025. The conversations continued through February, when the relationship turned sexual on multiple occasions.

Based on evidence obtained as a result of the investigation, Rose was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail on a No Bond status. The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have additional information is asked to contact Agent Kimone Edwards of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Special Victim’s Unit at (321) 633-8419.
