Highway 5 about 7 km north of Zopkios Brake Check, looking north.
A snowfall warning remains in effect for the stretch of the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt,
Environment Canada said 15 to 25 centimetres of snow is expected along the highway corridor as a low-pressure system moves across the province from northwest to southeast.
The warning is in effect until midnight.
The national weather agency said falling freezing levels combined with an influx of moisture will drive the snowfall, while strong winds at times could reduce visibility in blowing snow.
Travel along the route is expected to be challenging, with rapidly changing mountain weather potentially creating hazardous driving conditions.
