The new Kansas City route is one of eight nonstop flights Allegiant unveiled as part of a broader expansion across Florida leisure destinations.

“We’re excited to announce these new routes and believe it is an important time for Allegiant to increase travel options in these markets,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, in a news release.

“Our mission is to offer service where it is needed most, and these additions ensure that affordable fares can remain available to consumers despite industry changes.”

Allegiant said the expansion aims to provide more affordable vacation travel options while strengthening its network of nonstop flights connecting smaller and mid-sized cities to popular destinations.

Tickets for the new Kansas City-to-Fort Lauderdale route are available now on Allegiant’s website.
