Like many parents, Carly and Jamie Dunbar celebrated their son Joshua’s 8th birthday by purchasing him a helium balloon. But tragically, the figure of 8 balloon claimed his life. After unknowingly inhaling the helium in his bedroom, Joshua died from asphyxiation, which is something Carly and Jamie are now determined to stop happening ever again. As they campaign for a ban on helium balloon sales, they’re here to share their tragic story, and paediatrician Dr Ana will be talking about the hidden dangers of this birthday favourite.
