Aaron Ramsey has hinted at the next chapter in his football career after returning to the Wales setup just weeks after announcing his retirement from playing.
The former Cardiff City and Arsenal star posted a photo on social media wearing Wales training gear at the Football Association of Wales’ Vale of Glamorgan headquarters this week, where Wales are currently holding a development training camp.
The camp, led by head coach Craig Bellamy and his coaching staff, has brought together a mixture of promising Welsh players largely from across the youth age groups involved throughout the week.
Ramsey’s appearance immediately sparked intrigue among supporters given the 35-year-old’s long-standing ambitions of moving into coaching and management following the end of his playing career.

The Wales legend announced his retirement last month after a glittering career which saw him star for Cardiff, Arsenal and Juventus, while becoming one of the defining figures of Wales’ modern era.
But even before hanging up his boots, Ramsey had already begun laying the foundations for life on the touchline.
The midfielder completed his UEFA A Licence and had already worked within Cardiff’s academy setup before taking interim charge of the Bluebirds for the final three matches of last season following the departure of Omer Riza. He was ultimately unable to avoid the drop, though.
Ramsey has also repeatedly spoken about his desire to eventually move into management, even admitting in 2024 that one day coaching Wales would be a “very proud moment”.
“Hopefully it is a few years away yet, but it would definitely interest me one day,” Ramsey said at the time.
“That would be a very proud moment for me. I’ve done my A Licence and will be starting my Pro Licence soon, and it’s definitely something I’m really interested in.”
Bellamy has previously spoken glowingly about Ramsey’s coaching potential and revealed the former midfielder had already become heavily involved in tactical discussions around the senior Wales side.
“I speak to Aaron quite a lot, I try and involve him a lot in tactically what we look to do,” Bellamy explained last year.
“He comes down to Dragon Park as well to see me quite a bit, so we go through certain stuff.”
