TV personality Sam Thompson had an adorably relatable fan moment when he met actor Tom Hiddleston at the Soccer Aid for UNICEF Gala in London on May 21. A video from the event, which has now gone viral, showed Sam completely losing his cool upon meeting the Loki star.

Thompson could be seen screaming excitedly before running towards Hiddleston and jumping onto him for a huge bear hug. Tom, visibly amused by the enthusiastic reaction, warmly embraced Sam as the two shared a cheerful moment at the gala.

Fans online quickly flooded social media with reactions. One of the fans wrote, “I would jump on him in full gravity that he’ll never forget the impact (sic),” while another wrote, “I would jump on him too!!! (sic).” A third user chimed in and wrote, “That would also be my reaction (sic).”

The Soccer Aid for UNICEF Gala brought together several celebrities, athletes and entertainers ahead of the annual charity football event, but it was Sam Thompson’s wholesome fan moment with Tom Hiddleston that ended up stealing the spotlight online.

I’ve seen it,” he confirmed, signalling that he’s aware of how his work travels across cultures and languages. During the same interview, he also expressed interest in Indian collaborations, saying, “I have to think about that one,” and when he was asked about teaming up with SS Rajamouli, the actor called it “excellent.”
