For NCAA lacrosse fans, the most anticipated weekend of the season has arrived. The penultimate schedule of games will take place in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday, May 23, en route to the NCAA men’s lacrosse national championship.
One of those national semifinals features two storied heavyweight men’s lacrosse programs: Notre Dame vs. Syracuse.
The second-seeded Fighting Irish and sixth-seeded Orange are slated for a 2:30 p.m. ET face-off in the 2026 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia.

It’s the third time in the last four seasons the Fighting Irish are competing in the national semifinals. Josh Yago came up big for Notre Dame in its 15-9 win over Johns Hopkins in the quarterfinals, as he finished with three goals and four assists.
The Orange are back playing on Memorial Day weekend for the second straight season, the only team in this year’s to accomplish that feat. Syracuse took down No. 4 North Carolina behind John Mullen winning 13 of 24 face-off opportunities, plus a six-point day from Joey Spallina.
