Helen Flanagan has shared the moment she said an emotional goodbye as she was seen leaving her former home alongside her children.

Fans will know the actress shares three children – Matilda, Delilah and Charlie – with her footballer ex, Scott Sinclair. The former couple split in 2022 after 13 years together and have since been juggling co-parenting their children while living at opposite ends of the country.

It was then, early last year, that Helen shared she was in the process of leaving her home near Bolton after getting the property five years ago. She had initially lived in the eight-bedroom house with Scott, prior to their separation, but said it had been “really hard to keep on top of”.

But in August, the former Coronation Street star was seen responding to rumours swirling for months that she was selling her home amid financial difficulties. Helen told the Mirror resolutely: “That’s not why I’m selling.”

The mum-of-three went on to explain: “I’m not in a financial crisis. I’m moving because I really need a fresh start. Scott surprised me with this house, and it was always supposed to be our happy family home. And it wasn’t that. I like to be light-hearted and I hate to sound depressing, but there is a sadness in this house.”

It was this week that the time finally came for Helen and her children to leave what was their family home for the last time. Taking to Instagram, the former soap star shared a video of herself, Matilda, Delilah and Charlie smiling and hugging in the house, while the track That’s How Strong My Love Is, played over the top.

Alongside the post, Helen wrote: “Saying goodbye to our beautiful home (Charlie obviously playing up). It’s always been just us, just us 4. I feel like I really found myself in this house and it’s been special.

“There are no words for how much I love you babies and I will always teach you about what it is important in life and what’s not and about having morals and integrity and living your lives authentically and being true to yourselves. My relationships with all 3 of them will always be my priority and always will be to my last breath. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you 3 x Mummy’s always got it, always.”

And she was quickly flooded with support. @tiffanyfindlayx said: “Good luck in your new home. You’re a strong super mum. Time to create new memories.” @courtsherks commented: “Fresh start! And make your new place a lovely home.” @gilliangordon28 wrote: “Good luck in your new home.
